Bonita Valley played 4 games to win the National Championships. Natalie was injured on the second day with torn ligaments to her ankle so we started the day down one girl. We started playing Skagit Valley and lost 8-9 in the bottom of the 6th to find ourselves in the loser's bracket. Then we played the Lady Sharks and won 8-5 to get to the Championship games.

Now we needed two wins against Skagit Valley. In warm ups Madee got injured taking a ball to the eye. Now we were playing with game with 9. The first game we found ourselves down 3-5 in the 7th inning with 2 outs and Jaqi hit a 2 run double to tie the game and Mahlia hit a single put us ahead. Skagit tied the game and we went into ITB Ollie scored the game winning run on a single by Rachel. Ivana finished and completed the game pitching 8 strong innings with a bloody nose and tissue hanging out from it.

Now we would play a final game. The game started Skagit scoring 4 runs but BV came back adding 3. BV scored 1 in the second and it was tied after 2. In the third BV scored 6 hitting through the lineup every girl had a hit. I'm the 5th we scored 3 more and won the game 13-5. Sabrina went 4-4 in the final game and Rachel pitched 5 great innings to win a National championships. Thank you all for your support. 2009 Western World Series National Champions. Woo hoo... Hitting: Ollie has 2 hits, a triple and a home run. Ivana has 2 more hits. Natalie, Madee, Jaqi, Sabrina, Aida and Marissa all added another hit and Rachel added 3 walks.

Rachel starts and pitches 3 great innings. Ivana comes in and finishes with 3 more great innings only giving up 2 unearned runs on 2 hits. Hitting: Sabrina had 3 hits, 2 rbis and a double. Ivana had 2 hits, 2 runs and a double. Natalie, Kaylynn, Jaqi, Ollie and Rachel all had a hit. Natalie, Kaylynn and Jaqi all scored runs. Jaqi had 2 rbis, Aida and Rachel had 1 rbi. Great job girls.

12U Silver will go to NSA - Nationals in Everett, WA July 19-25.

Girls went into the game dedicating a 5th Tournament win to Amanda!!!

won 6 games 62-15 after a long week with 8 promotions and a couple of injuries...

Pitchers were great again with 32 innings pitched gving up only 25 hits, 6 walks, and 10 earned runs.

All 3 pitchers Madee, Rachel and Ivana dominated. Pitching 19 innings giving up zero earned runs, walking 6 and only 14 hits.

Our defense was outstanding again with Aida, Marissa and Leira turned a double play to finish our second game...

Our hitting was great again with 53 hits, 39 runs and 9 extra base hits.

12U Silver win Championship in Poway

The Silver 12U team scored a huge come-from-behind victory at the Summer Heat Classic.

As visitors in the championship game they were down five runs (8-3) going into the final inning. They scored the necessary five runs to tie the game, then held the heart of the Poway batting order scoreless to take the game to into ITB. In the tie-breaker they scored four more runs, then held on to win 12-9.

The game was a nail-biter for the coaches and parents, and a test of mettle for a scrappy team.
